Support the Archaeological Rescue Foundation

Archaeological Rescue Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable non profit organization dedicated to carrying out archaeological preservation and recovery missions throughout the world. All donations (one time or recurring) are tax deductible and will help us to protect heritage sites, records and artifacts.

You can officially become a member of the foundation for a minimum subscription of $100/year. Members are invited to join us on Zoom for our annual meeting, where we will present and discuss ongoing projects and discoveries.

Please feel free to contact us at Info@ArchaeologicalRescue.org if you have any questions about contributions, and follow us on Facebook too!

Support the mission:

How are donations used?

Donated funds will be used in various ways, depending on several factors. If we receive a grant for instance, that is specified for a certain project, it can be placed in a project-specific account and dedicated to that cause. This can be arranged by contacting our board of directors at info@archaeologicalrescue.org.

If we receive an open use grant, the board of directors will assess how it can best be used based on the current opportunities and size of the grant. For instance, some of our proposed projects can not be started with less than $100,000, while other, smaller missions could be completed for half that. We will aim never to ‘start something we can’t finish’, but to take on projects that are appropriate for the resources at hand. Those interesting in offering larger grants are welcome to discuss with us what could be covered. There are many project opportunities that we have not yet had the chance to outline on our website, in addition to those we’ve have already published.

Crowdfunded smaller donations and membership fees help to sustain our minimal overhead costs while building up funds that can be applied to larger projects, or given as grants to those who are already working on them. It can also help cover research and reports on important archaeological sites and additional potential project proposals.

Our primary target, generally speaking, is the Giza Plateau, and there many potentials there, but we also have a range of projects globally, ready to begin once funding is in place. Every donation will be used to best of our ability, and will be most appreciated! We are especially grateful to our members, who are making it all possible!
